Questions

What is the difference between Panda and AskEdgar?

AskEdgar is a web research app built on SEC filings: AI questions and summaries, dilution and offering data, warrant and convertible monitoring, cash position analysis, a screener and a usage-based API. Panda is a Windows app: Panda Desk sits next to your DAS or TradingView montage and switches to the ticker you trade, and Panda Scanner is a full-session small-cap scanner.

Which one is cheaper?

AskEdgar. It has a free plan with a limited number of AI questions. AskEdgar Pro is US$59 a month, or US$49 a month on annual billing; Professional+ is US$199 a month, or US$166 on annual billing. Panda Starter is US$89.90 a month or US$899 a year, and Panda Pro is US$189.90 a month. Prices checked on each company’s site on September 26, 2026.

Can AskEdgar data show up next to DAS Trader Pro?

With a script, yes. An open-source Python script on GitHub, the Ask Edgar Dilution Monitor, reads the ticker from DAS Trader Pro or thinkorswim windows and shows AskEdgar data in an overlay. It needs Python on a Windows PC and an AskEdgar API key, and the API is billed per use. Panda Desk has the DAS and TradingView link inside the app, with nothing to install besides Panda.

Is there a free plan?

AskEdgar has one, free forever, with limited AI questions, and its paid plans show a 7-day free trial. Panda has no free plan: it has a 7-day free trial with a card on file and a 7-day refund on every charge.

Does Panda work on a Mac?

No. Panda is a Windows 10 and 11 app from the Microsoft Store. AskEdgar runs in a web browser, on any computer.

Can I use both?

Yes. AskEdgar for filing research and questions before and after the bell, and Panda next to your montage for the ticker you are trading.
